Freedom Maps is an American-themed fork of Organic Maps — the privacy-first, open-source offline maps & GPS app. All credit for the actual maps app goes to the amazing Organic Maps team and its contributors.
This fork adds patriotic flair: red, white, and blue branding, freedom units (fu) instead of boring old miles, and the removal of the metric system from display (communist). It's a joke. A beautiful, freedom-loving joke.
The real app: Organic Maps is created and maintained by the MapsWithMe (MAPS.ME) founders, developed with love by the open-source community. Powered by OpenStreetMap data. Installed by over 6 million users worldwide.
